Local Mission - Izaiah Rosado - NYC

In June 2023, I was lucky enough to get to go on a missions trip with my church to serve the amazing people of New York with Dream Center, NYC.  I had always wanted to go on a missions trip and this trip far exceeded any expectations I could have had.  I got to help serve at mobile food pantries, go on a prayer walk and pray for different schools, businesses and people all across the city and got to help with set up and tear down of their Sunday church service at Grace Place, NY.  During one of the mobile food pantries my job was simply to welcome people and direct them where to go.  But instead, God used that service to be obedient to Him in praying with a woman I had never met and didn't really know what she needed other than no matter what excuse I made, God was making sure I prayed with her.  And I did.  And it changed us both.  In that moment, God showed me I can trust Him when He asks me to step outside of my comfort zone.  I can trust Him when I don't think I'm worthy.  And I can trust Him, to use any moment for His glory.

Izaiha was our mission group leader during this week in NYC and he spoke with such love for what he gets to do.  Walking down the street with him was so fun because he literally knew people everywhere we went, something you wouldn't imagine walking down the streets of NYC!  His mission isn't an easy one.  But it's one he serves with love, grace and the attitude of Jesus.  Over the past year, I've gotten to know Izaiah and his heart for Dream Center, NYC even better and am partnering with him to be the local mission for Joseph & Roo!  Every other month, 10% of proceeds will be donated directly to Izaiah.
